The Boulders was meant to be Somersett’s highest profile gated custom home community. Lots were selling at $500K+. Then the bottom dropped out and Somersett Development unloaded their 26 unsold lots to Toll Brothers for $1,050,000 in 2010 ($40,000 per FINISHED lot). Tool Brothers is now moving forward with the Boulders at Somersett. This does not include the other lots they have built generic Tollburgers on in the neighborhood including the 2 identical gateway homes under construction into the community – that was a separate deal that drove the micro-HOA into failed legal action.
I hope these lot will at least merit the “Full Toll” level of design, as oppose to the “Half Toll” we are seeing on Back Nine Trail and its environs (back half of the original designs lopped off, lots of stucco instead of stone). Habitat for Humanity uses better designed window systems than these Tollburger McMinimansions.
And so it goes on the lost dream that was once Somersett.
